Welp! The Heller series by J.D. Nixon was pretty dang hot! Its got Sass, Brains, Hotties, Mayhem, a romantically confused heroine and its Friggin' Funny! What's not to love about that??? This smart chick, Tilly, who is wayyyyyyy down on her luck and broke as a joke...struggling to survive (which by the way was on breadcrumbs). Yep, she was below rock bottom with a very bleak future! Then she applied for a job with Heller and everything changed. Not so sure about her survival tactics, this girl just has a comical cesspool of bad luck, but always pulls through in the end. She is a very strong character since she refrains from (almost) having a tempting affair with her boss.
This series is not really stand alone. Think Janet Evanovich's Plum Series. Each book has its own story, but makes much more sense when they're read as a series and obviously in order.
